About Us

SmartBox recycling is a new initiative launched by iTelematiX in 2019. Its purpose is to make sure and insurance are compliant with WEEE regulations by giving policy holders the opportunity to responsibly dispose of their used SmartBox device.

Our SmartBox is designed to minimise our impact on the environment, however as with other electrical items, such as mobile phones, they still contain materials that can be recycled and/or removed from the environment.

No, but you do have a requirement to responsibly dispose of the SmartBox. The crossed-out wheelie bin symbol on the back of the device represents an electrical item that cannot be disposed of in household waste.

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulation (WEEE) is a directive in the European Union that designates safe and responsible collection, recycling and recovery procedures for all types of electronic waste. This directive holds companies producing these electrical items responsible for helping to ensure they are responsibly recycled.

You MUST return your device within 14 days from the day the email was sent to you to qualify for the prize draw.
